Memoirs of a Mermaid
by Kathryn B. Sibley©

I am on the verge of my own beauty
swooning with the moon
and bathing in my incandescence
Water and I are one
parted and joined
by an inner muse
who plays for my pleasure
and spills streams of consciousness
into undulating folds of fervor
that toy with the tides and summon the sea

Man dare not venture here
lest he be drowned in the force
of my being
pulled deep and deeper still
into the fathoms of ecstasy
that only mermaids
may know.
About Kathryn B. Sibley
I feel alone in me, I feel like poetry, the voices call to me, "come scribe the
soul." I am a dabbler in words and rhyme.  I believe that beauty is all around
us, waiting for our eyes and hearts to open. --Kathryn
