OBTUSE TRIANGLE
by Jack Horne

We lie together
in camaraderie,
wedding bands concealing
rivalry. Smiling, she approaches
the hotel bed. Our hands
and mouths compete
to explore her,
each wanting to possess
her body, mind and soul.
I invade her spread thighs,
territory marking
her. But she sleeps
in your feminine arms
afterwards. I concede
she is yours, not mine.
