Fuel—

because she’s got legs

like a candle

which taper in the dimness  



2.

Heat— because she’s like the

soles of my feet

wandering through

the barren desert of her soul



3.

Air— because she sails

on the wind,

that is, like a cannonball

come crashing upon me.
