I ate an apple to its core.
Licked and sucked the mouth
Shaped holes left by my teeth.
I nibbled the fruit and rememberedÂ
People saying flesh when talkingÂ
Of meat: plant and human and
I found arousal as I tasted sweetness
Upon my own lips, as I thought about youÂ
in the other room unaware.
