Droplets fondle skin, new forms of leaves.
Slathered, supple, dimples make shape in dough
Elastic skin pulled and tugged
Pushed and shoved through denim
Underwear, a waste of time
Tucked in pockets, small enough to do so
T-Shirt from highschool still fits
Thread pulls graphic blurred
Perfume storm remnants settle the collar
Deodorant formed Grand Canyon
Contrasted these natural phenomena
Threads laced with drunk cigarettes
Also a natural phenomenon
Skin dry, new climates unclear
Shower head water my morning hydration
Beer lingers, coats my throat
Blue Moon never as good the morning after
Pulled at, tugged, and tired
My face doesn’t bounce back the same
Shower steam seeps through tile lines
Warps wood floors just beyond the door
Rhythmic in nature
My feet pointed lightly step through mess unfamiliar
Sleeping stranger reminds me I am not home
