I come upon it slowly, this wild lawn
before the forbidden idol I can’t help
but worship. It is the curtain to the window
that seams between her thighs, an untamed frieze
above her moist temple. This bookmark squeezes
within its covers, pointing out the single page
worth reading. Libidinous plumage, sacred geometry,
voluptuous constellation pointing due South
towards the only waves I desire to sail.
