Your touches can make ocean waves that I cannot detain
So the tide rises at night, and the saltiness tingles my brain
My fingers explore where you haven’t tanned
While you leave traces of yourself in the glistened sand
And I whisper, “Please don’t go home yet”
Because I don’t want a single regret
As we start to match beat
The sun hid in the water — it couldn’t take the heat
Our shadows slowly grew
I felt you shiver as the breeze blew
And our towels were already wet
A summer I will never forget
