I hesitate to reply.
Even poets observe silence
in the cleavage of the ineffable.
Their heavy breathing might echo:
a sound that bounces
as joyfully as the canyon
and the generosity of high noon
when the sumptuous sunlight
throws no shadows on the perfect postcard.
